MARVELOUS Nakamba Foundation chairman, Anthony Nakamba, says the stage is now set for the inaugural youth tournament to get underway in Bulawayo tomorrow.

The two-day Under-17 tourney will be held at White City Stadium.

Dynamos, Highlanders, Njube Spurs, Hwange Dynamo, Albun Academy, Bulawayo City, Ajax HotSpurs and Chicken Inn, are scheduled to take part in the tournament.

The Aston Villa anchorman, who is home on holiday,is set to grace the competition.

“We have everything under control, the preparations have gone just as planned and it’s now time for the youngsters to showcase their talents,” said Anthony Nakamba.

“They should enjoy the tournament, this is a platform which can help them to be identified quickly and seeing one of these boys giving reference to this project is our main objective.

“On behalf of the foundation, we are excited to finally witness this competition becoming a reality, considering what we went through in our first attempt last year.”

Nakamba’s youth tournament was initially scheduled to be hosted in May last year but was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The presence of the Warriors star at the tournament is expected to inspire the players to give it their best as they battle to attract the interests of scouts.
