RISING gospel musician Trymore Bande, who last year hogged the limelight for releasing a Charles Charamba sound-like album titled Zvakagara Zvakadaro, is working on a new project, minus producer Lyton Ngolomi. While some music pundits lashed out at Bande for copying Charamba particularly on his vocals and beat thereby doubting his artistic capabilities, another school of thought blamed Ngolomi for being mischievous and having a hand on the development.
Bande has revealed that his forthcoming album will be titled ZvaMwari and is produced by Charles Ayibeki of Divine Records.
Ayibeki and Olin Anderson co-produced Blessing Shumba’s red hot album titled Holy Psalms Volume 1. Interestingly, Bande is the third musician to dump the controversial but talented Ngolomi after Mathius Mhere and Shumba.
Zvamwari has eight tracks which are Razaro, Ngwarira, Ngoma Ndiyo Ndiyo, Ndinobatwa Nehope, Kusatereera, Zvenyu Makarangarirwa, Dzoka Kunashe and Ndapfugama.
In an interview, Bande confirmed the development but refused to shed more light on what prompted him to jump ship hardly a year after releasing the fine album.
“You can’t eat vegetables every day,” Bande said.
“It becomes monotonous. Sometimes you need to eat pork and sometimes beef. That is life. I had to change and leave Lyton. I am happy about the decision I made and I have no regrets. We are putting final touches on the album. I strongly believe that this album will be my best ever,” he added.
The album will be launched in Harare on December 3.
“I have something in store for my fans in Mutare and I will have another gig a few weeks after launching the album in Harare,” he said.
