A woman from Bulawayo’s Pumula North suburb is sleeping with one eye open after getting death threats from her ex-husband making it clear that he intended to set her house alight.
Doreen Sibanda is now living in fear following death threats which she gets from Cabangani Ndebele following their separation.
It seems the bitter man is failing to accept life’s fact that they are no longer together as he keeps harassing the woman.
“Ndebele is my ex-husband and we are no longer staying together because we had a lot of problems. He is in the habit of coming to my place calling me names saying I am a witch,” she said.
The woman also revealed that she is living in fear as Ndebele made it clear that he would burn her house one day, killing her in the process.
“He also comes intending to burn the house where I am staying. Whenever I confront him over his bad behaviour, he assaults me using open hands, clenched fists and booted feet.
“He also threatened to chop me using an axe and I am now living in fear without peace in my life because of his behaviour,” said Sibanda.
She further revealed that Ndebele does not give her time to rest as he always sends scary messages threatening to kill her.
“When he is not anywhere near to insult or assault me, he will be busy sending messages threatening to kill me. He is abusive and I cannot continue living such a life,” she said.
Western Commonage magistrate Lungile Ncube granted the order and Ndebele was barred from communicating with the woman.
