ANDREW Mbeba, who has been handed the Highlanders’ captain’s armband this season, has said that the leadership responsibility has been a motivating factor in his game.
The left-back said that he aims to help the Bulawayo giants achieve their goals, with teamwork remaining the core value.
“It’s just a role that I am playing, which I have been given by the coaches on the field of play. All I want is for the team to achieve its goals. It’s not about being the captain; it’s about teamwork and working hard as a team.
“There is no pressure, it has actually motivated me to greater heights. Being a captain for a big club in Zimbabwe is a big motivation,” said Mbeba.
