Bosso legends tip Ghana to win Afcon

Aaron Dube in Johannesburg, South Africa
FORMER Highlanders FC midfielder Richard Choruma believes Ghana will go all the way and win the African Cup of Nations final. Experience coupled with recent good performances in the tournament, he said, would be key to their success. “Ghana is a tough side to beat and they are mobile with great individual skills.

“I started following them during their group qualifiers and I realised that they are a formidable side with a winning mentality,” said Choruma.

The former Warriors skilful midfielder said he is impressed with the individual skills of Ghanaian player Christian Atsu who scored a brace when his team demolished Guinea 3-0 to advance to the semi-finals against Equatorial Guinea in Malabo tomorrow.

Choruma said the youthful Ghanaians have a point to prove in this tournament as in the beginning most people believed they would be eliminated in the first round but coming back from a goal down against

Bafana Bafana and becoming 2-1 eventual winners surely they showed character.

Choruma believes Atsu will be the Player of the Tournament a deserving reward for a player who has had a good tournament.

Another former Warriors and Caps United defensive midfielder Lionel M’tizwa has also predicted that Ghana can lift the Afcon.

M’tizwa said if Ghana fail, Cote d’Ivoire would win it.
