Online Reporter

Love is in the air! People are today celebrating Valentine’s Day to express love and appreciation for others, and to celebrate romance and friendship.

The day is made special by sending cards and flowers, and spending time together or buying chocolate or flowers as a way of expressing love for family, friends, co-workers, or romantic partners.

Businesses and shops around Bulawayo are taking advantage of the day offering special promotions, discounts, and themed products or services to attract customers. Anything and everything with the colour red is being displayed the most.

Similarly, hotels, lodges and restaurants are offering intimate alternatives to couples, while others are doing events for singles to meet and mingle. Valentine’s Day is about sharing with a loved some special time and there is no rule to say it has to be with a partner. You can be single and still celebrate with your loved ones.
