BULAWAYO-based yesteryear football greats who now turn out for newly established Bulawayo 98 Legends Football Club are contemplating formally registering as a professional outfit come 2017.
Some of the retired players said they were usually forced to hang their boots regardless of their wish to continue playing which is why they wanted to make a comeback.
The clubas secretary general, Herbert Dick told B Metro Sport that their players still had what it takes to compete with other professional footballers.
a?We believe some of us have been forced to hang their boots. Professional clubs are now fond of using young players as opposed to old war horses. Old players should also be given a chance to prove their worth,a? said Dick.

a?We have been playing some social games and I must say my teammates still possess the skills. They are fit and as such next year we will register as a club whether with Bafa or with some lower wrungs of Zimbabwean football. We are a competitive team but we are not seeking to bounce back in the premiership,a? added the former Amazulu, Highlanders, Monomotapa, Chicken Inn and Warriors steely defender.
