MANICA Diamonds forward, Nyasha Chintuli, says he still dreams of winning the Golden Boot.
The Gem Boys play Highlanders, in their next match, at Barbourfields.
The forward is going through a difficult patch in which he has failed to match the flying start to the season.
He now trails William Manondo of CAPS and Brian Muza of Chicken inn in the Golden Boot race.
Highlanders are unbeaten since the appointment of Portuguese coach Baltemer Brito.
“It is promising to be a bit tough as we are coming from a poor outing where we lost to Bulawayo City,” he said.
“We will be out to turn the tables as we seek to redeem ourselves but it won’t be a stroll in the park.
“We need to be at our best to salvage something at Barbourfields.
“We need to show character, big character is what will only save the day for us.
“We need to be focussed from the start up to the end.”
He also has been having a nightmarish run.
“I’ve been not scoring and I am seeking to change that,” said Chintuli.
“I’ve been out of form, I’ve been also trying to shake off some knocks and I wasn’t 100% fit.
“The task is on me to find my best touch and it’s just a matter of time for me to start bouncing back and score more goals to help the team.
“I am still aiming for the Golden Boot and I feel I still have big chances of winning it.
“As a team, we made some mistakes that led to us losing the last game.
“We need to work on a few things and correct our mistakes.”
