A FRAUDSTER, who forged her ZIMSEC O-Level results, has been ordered to perform 210 hours of community service at Seke 12 Primary School.
Shamiso Pretty Bvukure pleaded guilty to the offence when she appeared before Harare magistrate Ruth Moyo. She was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment, six of which were suspended on condition that she doesn’t commit any offences involving dishonesty, within the next five years.
The remaining six months were suspended on condition that she performs unpaid work at her local primary school.
The State, represented by Nomsa Kangara, proved that on October 11, a request was made from the police department to verify ZIMSEC results of several applicants.
Bvukure changed her Mathematics results from U to C, English Language from U to B, Shona from E to A and History from U to C.
The personnel from ZIMSEC checked in their database and it was confirmed that she sat for exams in 2023 and failed. Kangara had advocated for a custodial sentence.
