A scoring draw will see them through to the mini-league phase of the competition.
The technical team yesterday said they were confident they will get a positive result in Angola.
Midfielder Leo Kurauzvione, who returns from an injury lay-off, is the only change in the side that featured in their last league match as he replaces Farai Mupasiri.
Mupasiri is not registered to play in the tournament.
Murape will miss the return leg after aggravating his knee injury at the club’s training session yesterday.
Murape was injured three week ago and missed the first leg at Rufaro.
“We are very lucky that we had all the players in training this week except for Murape who came back on Monday and Tuesday but aggravated his injury,” assistant coach, Tonderai Ndiraya, said.
“He has been recovering from a knee problem and it appears it got worse again during training. So he will not be travelling.
“Obviously we will miss him again in this match. He has seen it all in his career and has been one of the key players over the years.
“He is one player who usually stands out when the going gets tough. It’s unfortunate we are going to miss his fighting spirit but we should not forget that we have
some guys in the team who are capable of playing to the same level.
“We are quite satisfied with the amount of work the rest of the players have done this week. They are putting in maximum effort and I hope they will carry the same spirit to the game.”
DeMbare were also dealt a big blow with the unavailability of their midfield magician, Denver Mukamba, who is holed up in South Africa where he is finalising his
move to Bidvest Wits.
Ndiraya said they had already devised a Plan B to cover for his absence.
“Denver was not in our plans from day one this week because he hasn’t been with us in training.
“Obviously, we would have wanted him in the team if he was there but we hear that he is moving and we would like to wish him good luck,” said Ndiraya.
DeMbare were held to a goalless draw at Rufaro in the first leg after a poor show two weeks ago.
But they were boosted by their 6-0 drubbing of lightweights Blue Rangers last Sunday, which kept them within touching distance of the leading pack in the Castle lager Premiership.
DeMbare will also find their hosts in high spirits after Interclube warmed up with a 3-0 win over Recreativo da Caála in their National Football League first division match on Wednesday night.
With this victory, the police side rose to fifth in the league race with 28 points and are 12 away from pace setters Recreativo do Libolo who lead the race with 40 points.
Interclube have been on top of their game since Portuguese coach, Bernadino Pedroto, joined them in April.
But Ndiraya said DeMbare will not look at what their opponents have accomplished in their recent games.
Dynamos need at least a scoring draw to make it to the group stages of the Confederation Cup and if it happens that the teams reproduce the same scoreline they achieved in the first leg, the tie will be decided on penalty shootouts.
“We would prefer to start with two strikers because we want an early goal. It doesn’t make sense for us to go there and then sit back when we want to win the game,” said Ndiraya.
DeMbare are scheduled to leave early this morning via South Africa. They will connect to Luanda in the afternoon and are expected to arrive in Angola around 16.30hrs.
The team will be accompanied by Premier Soccer League board member development Cuthbert Chitima, who is the head of delegation.
Club chairman Kenny Mubaiwa, treasurer Moses Chikwariro, board secretary Bernard Marriot and representatives from their sponsors BancABC are also making the trip.
