2013 Big Brother Africa (BBA): The Chase winner Dillish Mathews says she is not in a rush to get married as she has to fulfil other things in life before she settles down.
The 24-year-old Namibian beauty who was in Bulawayo over the weekend said although she was in a relationship, she was not in a hurry to get married.
“Wedding bells . . . not anytime soon, maybe in three years. I’m not in a rush and I’m delaying as much as I can,” said the beauty who recently got back together with her long time boyfriend Stephen Gaeseb.
The two had broken up last year over flirtatious text messages Stephen was sending to another woman in Nigeria when Dillish was in the BBA house. They then got back together in December last year.
Asked how she spent her $300,000 prize money from BBA, Dillish who has a lipstick range – Dillish Lipstick courtesy of Vault Cosmetics said she used some of it to invest in a construction company and also set up a hair salon.
“I’m now into construction. I buy property, spruce it up and sell it. I also run a salon. The rest of the money is in my savings account,” Dillish said.
Questioned if she would take part in the BBA contest again, Dillish said she would only return to the BBA house because of charity.
“The three months I spent in that house for the first time was enough. I already have the money so why should I stress myself again?
“I will only go back if the organisers say it’s for charity. I would go back,” she said.
Dillish added that although she had fond memories of being in the BBA house, the blow-out between Ghanaian housemate Elikem and Tanzania’s Nando frightened her during their stint.
“My worst moment in the house was when there was a fight where one of the guys, Nando got disqualified from the game. This was my worst moment in the house as Nando always threatened to kill Elikem,” she said.
Dillish who plans to venture into acting said Zimbabwe had become home to her as she has been frequenting the country of late.
“This is a beautiful country and I enjoy every minute spent here. The people are warm,” she said.
