THE Sunshine City Festival has completed its line-up for this year’s edition slated for May 24 and 25 with South Africa’s Prince Kaybee, DJ Maphorisa and Toss as special guests.
DJ Maphorisa’s last visit to Harare was at the Hippodrome last November where he set the capital alight with electrifying beats alongside his partner Kabza de Small.
However, this time around, he has been teamed up with Prince Kaybee and Toss for an unforgettable music fusion. The two-day music fete will also feature a marathon, a soccer tournament and an impressive line-up of local stars, including Saintfloew, Feli Nandi and Oriyano.
“It’s bigger and better this year, the Sunshine City Festival is more about culture as we bring people together in the capital.
“We are inviting fans from across the country to be part of this year’s edition as we have included a number of activities, including a marathon and a social soccer match,” said Tamba Events director Nigel Chinovhiringa.
Chinovhiringa said the response from fans has been overwhelming.
“The first phase of the tickets are going on so well and the fans are starting to believe in our dream.
“We can confidently say we are geared up for one the biggest shows in our motherland,” said Chinovhiringa. Fans are also anticipating a good time out with Oriyano after he pulled a captivating show at the NAMAs earlier this month.
The Marema hit-maker, whose voice draws comparisons to Jah Prayzah, has already confirmed his participation.
