Ex Zim Praise member goes solo

FORMER Zim Praise member Prosper Macharika is set to launch his debut album titled ‘‘My Closet’’ this Saturday.

It will be launched at Norton City International Christian Centre.

Billed to perform at the launch are Kuda Mutsvene and Jonah Chivasa while Pastor Chisale and Chipo the Trouble Causer will be emcees.

The album carries seven tracks: Ngarinamatwe, Zita Rinoporesa featuring Takesure Zamar, Inyasha, Baba veIsrael Zimbabwe Is Calling Unto You, Gadziriro, Ndiye Jesu and Ngarivongwe.

The album was co-produced by Nigel Nyangombe and Tarie G Fingers.

Speaking to H-Metro, Macharika said:

“I’m happy to be launching my first album as a solo artist.

“After being with Zim Praise choir for two years, I feel blessed to have started my own path now as an artist.

“I’m grateful to Zim Praise for nurturing me and will always cherish every moment I was with the choir.

“I also have my own music outfit called ProMusic.

“My vision is to unite people through the word of God and encourage people to love one another so that we have a better Godly Christian society. “
