Bulawayo.
Holly’s entertainment manager Tinashe Zekiya said all was set for DJ Cndo to rock Harare.
“DJ Cndo is a renowned house producer as well as a music writer who is also capable of singing. As Holly’s management we want to give our fans a different gig so that people will not say we are biased towards one genre.
“This time around we opted to bring an artiste who can spare time with our local performers from artistes to dancers so that they build relationships and share ideas about music,” he added.
The event will also be graced by a couple of local DJs, artistes and dancers including Beverly “Bev” Sibanda and Zoey Sifelani who will lead the dancers.
Holly’s and City Sports Bar resident DJs Nash, Ohmz and DJ Archie will take a leading role for the local DJs.
Zakeyo said DJ Cndo will arrive in Harare two days before the show and Holly’s management will host a welcome party for her.
“As part of the reopening of the Private Lounge, we have planned to host Cndo and Ntando’s welcome party before their performance. The same line-up of the supporting acts will be readily available as well,” he said.
Born Sindisiwe Zungu, Cndo, who is riding high under the South African house record label called The Durban’s Finest, has several albums which have sold more than 25 000 copies in and outside South Africa.
She has since made a name for herself as she was the first lady to record and release a house music compilation in 2008.
Her debut album has been nominated for the 2007 Metro FM Best Compilation Award and earned her respect among male house DJs such as Oskido, Sbu, Big Nuz, Tira and Cleo.
