A man claims his daughter has been making his life miserable ever since she allegedly started abusing drugs and alcohol.

Elliot Madede alledged that his 28- year-old daughter, Nesisa, has been embarrassing him in front of his church crowd.

Eliot dragged Nesisa before Magistrate Meenal Naratom at Harare Civil Court seeking a protection order.

“I am tired of Nesisa’s behavior, she is a drunkard, and she is into drugs.

“She is disrespectful and insults me in public.

“What pains me most is the level of disrespect, she shows up by following to church yet l am the leader of the church.

“Nesisa says l am not fit to lead the church denigrating me and l am tired of it,” he said furiously.

He says his life is in danger.

“I am now afraid of staying with her in the same house what if she kills me.

“My plea is for the court’s protection against this child of mine,” he said.

Nesisa said she was provoked after her father married another wife.

“My father and his wife join forces to assault me every day.

“My mother left after my parents divorced and have been suffering in silence.

“The only solution to this problem is to find a new apartment and move out because l am tired of the ill-treatment,” she said.

Presiding over the hearing, magistrate Meenal Naratom granted a protection order in favour of Elliot against his daughter.
