MBARE-BRED chanter, Tafadzwa “Buyaka” Dzinoruma, says struggles in the ghetto inspired his newly-released EP (Extended Play.)

Titled Soja, the recently launched EP carries 11 tracks.

On the track list are songs; Nhai Mwari, Si Wakazondisiya, Ndakatadza Kutamba Nawo, Soja and Munyama, among others.

The compilation was recorded at Royal Dynasty Records by Feegoh Beats while the mixing and mastering was done by Mostar JSM.

In an interview with H-Metro, Buyaka said: “Life in the ghetto is getting harder and harder.

“Hunger, drug abuse and unemployment have tortured the ghetto youths and citizens.

“It is these day-to-day challenges that inspired me to name the EP Soja because we have to fight for survival, just like a soldier, we don’t give up till the war ends.

“We might lose some battles but in the end victory is certain.

“I want to thank my producer Feegoh Betaz for making sure the project was completed well.

“The response to some of the tracks has been amazing and some of the tracks are playing on various radio stations.

“I want to thank everyone who has been supporting me and my music and I’m sure it’s only the beginning of good things to come.”
