Kangora aims higher

RISING gospel artist, Fungai Kangora, is set to release his second album titled Jehovah Adonai, early next month.

The Nyamapanda-bred singer rose to prominence with his debut album, titled Lazaro, which was released last year.

After being endorsed by fans on Radio Zimbabwe and National FM, Kangora, a school teacher by profession, decided to come up with another song.

He said that the album addresses challenges faced by people in society.

“I see problems everywhere I go and try to solve their issues through the gospel by producing related music.

“My music appeals to people when they are doing different chores, therefore preaching through music makes it easier for listeners to learn something noteworthy, without having to go to church,” he said.

He said it was not by default that he was both a teacher and musician.

“Music and teaching are both meant to make a better society.

“I am simply enjoying what I am doing at the moment and it can only be God who is assisting me to do his work.

“I will continue doing his duty since it’s a calling I cannot resist,” said Kangora.
