Girl (5) sells out cheating mom

A FIVE-YEAR-OLD girl sold out her cheating mother by unwittingly asking her in the presence of her father why she was in the habit of bringing another man in her (father)’s bedroom when he is away.

It is alleged that Lindiwe Nyoni from Pelandaba West in Bulawayo was in the habit of inviting her lover only identified as Mushayi to her house and allegedly slept with him in the presence of their five-year-old child.

This was revealed by Nyoni’s estranged husband Themba Sibanda, a local businessman, at the Bulawayo Civil Court where Nyoni was seeking a protection order against him while claiming he was verbally, physically and emotionally abusing her.

“Themba Sibanda was my boyfriend for the past 12 years and is a father of my five-year-old daughter. I terminated the relationship in June 2018, since he is married. He promised to divorce his wife a long time ago but he didn’t do so.

“He emotionally and physically abused me. He always swears that he will kill me and that I will never have peace in my life.

“My life is in danger and I’m now performing poorly at my workplace due to stress.  I want the court to bar him from following me or visit my workplace and house. Anything bad that will happen to me he will be the suspect,” said Nyoni.

She insisted that she was no longer interested in the relationship.

In response, Sibanda shamed Nyoni saying she was the one who was cheating on him with another man whom she was inviting to their place and having sex with him in the presence of their minor child.

He said he was customarily married to Nyoni and as evidence he produced the list of items he paid as lobola.

“I am customarily married to Lindiwe Nyoni though she lied that I am her boyfriend. Lobola was paid at her grandfather’s house and her aunt Mrs P Nyathi led her delegation and Mr E Mangena led my delegation.

“On 13 June 2018, I found Lindiwe with Mr Mushayi in our family home and he was under our blankets. Since I didn’t have evidence that Mr Mushayi was her boyfriend I called her she flatly refused that he was her lover but just a friend.

“She told me he was a businessman but she didn’t know where he operates from. She then called her aunt asking her to come to her place saying she had committed an offence. When the aunt later came she had already dumped the child at a relative’s place and proceeded to Matobo National Park with Mushayi claiming she had gone to see her grandmother,” complained Sibanda.

He said when he phoned the grandmother she told him she was not there adding that surprisingly the two’s phones (Nyoni and Mushayi) were not reachable.

He added: “When she later came back she apologised saying she was now committing herself to me as a wife. Despite that she continued coming home late and at times sleeping out.

“She also continued to bring Mushayi at home and slept with him in front of our five year-old child who had asked her in my presence:” Mummy who is this man who comes into daddy’s bedroom when he is away”?

“When I confronted Mushayi he confirmed that they were in love and that he did not rape her (Lindiwe) but rather she gave herself to him willingly. She later fought with Mushayi and he (Mushayi) took back his phone he had bought her while accusing her of seeing someone”.

He said Nyoni wanted the court to “bless” her bad behaviour.

In his ruling the presiding magistrate Tinashe Tashaya ordered Sibanda not to stalk, verbally and emotionally abuse Nyoni and to visit her workplace and house.
