The Betterbrands Grand Colour Run – Family Fun Day, which seeks to promote fitness, family bonding and community wellness, returns on Saturday.
The event, which is organised in partnership with Selekta Base, will feature colour throws, live performances and interactive fitness sessions.
Local artists, Killer T, Tammy Moyo and King 98, are part of this year’s entertainment lineup, supported by several DJs, Zumba sessions led by Zorro and a Rhumba segment by Kuda the choreographer.
Event organiser, Arnold “Selekta Base” Chingwerewe, said preparations were underway, with t-shirt distribution for ticket holders beginning this weekend at designated locations across Harare.
“We have set up Grand Colour Run tents at Joina City, Highland Park, Sam Levy’s Village, Avondale and Greenfields to ensure participants can collect their kits conveniently,” he said.
Chingwerewe said this year’s edition is focused on uniting communities and providing safe, family-friendly entertainment as the festive season begins.
“The Grand Colour Run is designed to bring people together through wellness and fun. We want families to reconnect and enjoy a positive, vibrant atmosphere,” he said.
Chingwerewe said they are expecting an increased turnout this year.
He said all logistics including security, event flow and entertainment scheduling have been finalised to ensure a smooth programme.
“The festive season is a time for joy, and we want to give the city an event that captures that spirit,” Chingwerewe said.
