GREENFUEL boss Fred Moyo expects the club to improve in many areas when they take part in their second season in the Castle Lager Premiership.
They open their campaign with a home game against Bulawayo Chiefs tomorrow.
The Chisumbanje side finished in 10th place last season after being favourites for relegation for the better part of the year.
The arrival of Rodrick Dhlakama changed the script for them.
They have brought in Nedrick Madeya, Godwin Goriati, Anelka Chivandire, Luke Musikiri, Learnmore Muyambo, Munyaradzi Diro, Bruno Mtigo, Clive Rupiya and Brian Chikwenya.
Speaking ahead of the new season, club chairman Moyo, is confident of better fortunes compared to last season.
“We are confident enough that this year we will be a better outfit compared to last season.
“You know we started in the relegation zone and forced our way out until we attained position 10.
“As a club, we feel we are going to be more competitive and be more composed.
“We have improved in several things using the experience we gained last season.
“We have provided our boys with basic needs and we have proven to them we can always go the extra mile to achieve our goals.”
Moyo believes the homologation of Greenfuel Arena will see their relationship with the community improve.
“Just like any other team, we find value in the availability of our stadium and we hope to turn it into a fortress.
“Our relationship with the community of Chisumbanje has been growing and we understand playing our home games here will be good for the community.
“Through their support, we have managed to bring top-flight football to Chisumbanje and now they are going to help us to maintain the club’s top-flight status.”
