HE laughs easily, speaks with precision, and wears confidence the way others wear a designer jacket.

For most people, fashion is just fabric and flair, but for Hatiperi Wacho.

He is an entrepreneur and the founder of the clothing line, Hatiperi Official, and also owner of Multipero Creative Agency.

It’s a lifestyle, a business and now a full-blown entertainment movement. Before Check became one of the most talked-about fashion review platforms in Zimbabwe, it was fashion police and red carpet hosts who bugged the trend, well it was just a playful idea tossed around at events.

People would gather, debate, and sometimes argue about who had the best outfit.

Out of that fun chaos, a concept was born and Hatiperi decided to give it structure, humour, and a stage. “It all started as a fun idea,” he says. “People always argued about who dressed better, so I thought why not make it entertaining and structured?”

But even as he rides the wave of success, Hatiperi remains grounded and is full of respect for those who walked the runway before him the original fashion police who first dared to critique red-carpet looks.

“I respect them a lot,” he says.

“They opened the door. They showed that fashion commentary could be entertaining.

“Drip Check just came in with a different formula more interaction, more fun, more energy. It’s fashion for the new generation,” said Hatiperi

Drip Check has become a viral sensation on social media, known for witty banter, laugh-out-loud reactions, and candid reviews of celebrity outfits. But at its core, it’s not about mocking anyone it’s about celebrating creativity.

“The love of fashion inspired everything,” he said.

“It’s about confidence, personality, and storytelling through style.”

His very first “client” wasn’t a celebrity at all.

“It began with my friends at events,” he said. “We’d just rate each other for fun. Then it grew and people loved it.

“Suddenly, it became a culture.”

Beyond the cameras, Hatiperi is also a designer in his own right, having dressed some of the biggest names in local music.

“I’ve worked with Jah Prayzah, Voltz, and Holy Ten,” he said.

“Designing allows me to express the same creativity I bring to Drip Check it’s all connected.”
