A HUSBAND has told a court in Harare that he contemplated committing suicide after he walked into his house and found his wife cheating on him with a police officer who had been counselling them.
The incident happened on July 2.
Simon Makoni says the pain was unbearable because he felt his wife and the police officer had both betrayed his trust in them.
“I wanted to commit suicide when I came home to find my wife having sex with another man.
“It pained me when I discovered that the police officer, who once counselled us, was the one having an affair with my wife.”
His wife, Sihle Madzorera, said her husband has been threatening to kill her.
Sihle sought and got a protection from the Harare Civil Court.
“He comes to my workplace insulting me, calling me a prostitute.
“He threatened to burn my house but instead burnt my bed and sofas.”
