ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup roars to life

THE wait is finally over as the ICC Men’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2026 gets underway today, with three matches scheduled on the opening day.

Zimbabwe and Namibia are co-hosting the youth global showpiece, which will be staged across five venues.

The tournament features 16 teams and 41 matches and will run until February 6.

On the opening day, the Elton Chigumbura-mentored Zimbabwe side will face Scotland at Takashinga Cricket Club in Harare, while pre-tournament favourites India take on the United States of America (USA) at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.

Tanzania will make history when they face the West Indies at the HP Oval in Windhoek, Namibia, marking the East African nation’s debut at the tournament.

All matches start at 9.30am and are free of charge to spectators.
