A Kwekwe woman beat up a local businessman for dumping her. Carl Doring, a miner, had to seek police intervention against his a�?live wirea�? ex-girlfriend Beauty Banda.

Banda and Doring, a German national, had been seeing each other for almost two years before the latter decided to terminate their relationship.

This did not go down well with Banda who hatched a plan to fix him. She called him under the pretext that she wanted to go and collect her things from a tuckshop Doring rented for her at Ivan Hoe Mine.

In no time Doring had picked up Banda who was in the company of her a�?brothera�? to assist her load the goods.

Upon arrival, Bandaa��s a�?brothera�? suddenly grabbed Doring by the collar while Banda assaulted him all over the body with fists. He hurled obscenities at him as he beat him up.

The two then forced Doring to load pots and a fridge into the truck all by himself before forcing him to drive them to Rutendo where Banda resides.

Doring reported the matter to the police, leading to Bandaa��s arrest.

a�?This woman is violent. I tried to negotiate with her but she forced me to carry her stuff to Rutendo, I was living with a monster all this while,a�? Doring said in court.

Kwekwe magistrate Lavroe Philemon sentenced Banda to three months in prison with an option of paying a $200 fine.
