Journalist left for dead

He bled from the wounds and stained a bunch of newspapers he was carrying.
He was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital at about 7.30pm after the attack, where he was treated and discharged.
Speaking from his Greenhill home yesterday, Nkala said he was attacked while he was coming out of the bar.

“I had gone to Legion Bar to watch the match between Angola and Zimbabwe on Sunday. After the match I decided to go and have some drinks with my friends at the Safari Bar.
“On my way out, I suddenly felt a heavy blow at the back of my right ear and I immediately fell to the ground. Two of the people who had been watching soccer in the bar came to the scene and they called an ambulance. I do not remember what happened after that because I fell unconscious,” said Nkala.
Nkala was sutured on the upper lip.
