JUST IN: Govt publicise SOPs for schools

Government has released the minimum terms of operations expected in all schools to operate in a safe environment without risking a spike in Covid-19 infections.

The expectations are informed by the World Health Organisation (WHO), which focuses on improved hygine, social distancing, personal protective clothing among a host of others prescribed by health experts.

Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Ambassador Cain Mathema said there will be strict adherence and monitoring of the protocols.

Examination classes returned to standard face to face interactions on Monday without any lapses in adherence recorded.

Enforcement of regulations is set be heightened further when everyone returns to school next week.
