A 46-YEAR-OLD man from Kwekwe, was brought to the Gweru Magistrates Court for failing to pay US$400 in child maintenance.
Takaedza Takwana Mazhinyu was instructed to pay US$50 monthly for his child’s upkeep, but he neglected to fulfill this obligation.
His unpaid support ballooned to US$400.
a statement on X, the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe said, “The accused person was sentenced to a wholly suspended 2 months imprisonment.”
