LYTTON Primary School, one of the best Council schools in the Harare Metropolitan Province, recently got new wheels.
The school head, GT Chikweshe, in her celebratory remarks during the unveiling occasion for the brand new school bus, commended the supportive efforts of her predecessors, parents and other stakeholders who made it possible.
She also highlighted that the bus will provide reliable and comfortable transport for learners, teachers and staff as they engage in frequent field trips, extracurricular activities and various educational events done in line with the Heritage-based Curriculum.
It is worth noting that the school, located in the Glen View-Mufakose District, has been impressive in both academic and sporting excellence, with a 96.7 percent grade 7 pass rate for last year.
The school’s Physical Education team participated at the 2025 Provincial Jikinya Festival.
The occasion was graced by the District Schools Inspector, local school heads, parents and various stakeholders who all hailed the cooperative efforts done in purchasing the school bus.
They said this demonstrated that the authorities at the school were giving priority to the Children’s education and well being which in turn profoundly positively impacts on the performance of Learners.
