FC Platinum ‘keeper, Wallace Magalane, is proving to be a big deal for the champions, despite playing second fiddle to Petros Mhari, for the larger part of his stay at Mandava.
Malagane’s introduction is turning into what the doctor ordered.
He was trusted to guide the goalposts by coach Norman Mapeza, after Mhari suffered a knee injury, which has kept him on the sidelines, for six fixtures.
Malagane is yet to concede in the six games he has featured.
“So far so good, I’m happy with the progress which I have made.
“It’s every player’s wish to get such a good start and it’s been all about hard work, here at Platinum we play collectively.
“We are enjoying a good run and it’s because of the 100 percent effort which everyone is putting in, we are not worried much about defending the title but our concern is to maintain our form.
“I want to thank the coaches, and my teammates, without oneness, we wouldn’t have managed to keep these clean sheets.
“Overall, I think we are reaping the rewards of hard work and patience.
“We are not going to talk about the championship, it’s still early, we just need to remain consistent and listen to the coach.”
Walter Musona is also enjoying a purple patch since his return to the Zvishavane side.
He scored a brace in their 3-0 victory over Chicken Inn to take his tally to five goals.
They will host Bulawayo Chiefs at Mandava this weekend.
The champions lost 0-2 in the reverse fixture at Luveve.
