KISSES go by favour that is why Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries (PHD) founder Prophet Walter Magaya said his philanthropic gesture of commissioning a site in Bulawayo, where 5 000 houses will be constructed ahead of other cities, is a tribute to the city for standing by him at a time his enemies were praying for his downfall.Speaking on the sidelines of a ground-breaking ceremony in Douglasdale, where the multi-million housing project is scheduled to start, Prophet Magaya said he had an incredible heart for the city of Bulawayo and local partners for their extreme help to his growing ministry.a�?I love Bulawayo and I just want to say thank you to the partners for their support especially the way they received me during my initial visit here. It was really exceptional. Remember it was that time when my enemies were really fighting and praying for my downfall by fabricating a lot of controversial stories against me.
a�?So to my partners in Bulawayo, I just want to say the launch of this housing construction project here ahead of other cities is a payback for your support of the ministry through and through. These are not going to be ordinary houses, I assure you the suburb will be a tourist attraction,a�? said Prophet Magaya.
He also expressed gratitude to the Government for facilitating the acquisition of the land. Government alone cannot give resounding development due to its a�?meagrea�? resources when compared to the volume of social, economic amenities expected by the people.
Officiating at the ground breaking ceremony, Minister in Vice-President Mphokoa��s office, Cde Tabeth Kanengoni-Malinga a�� who was representing VP Mphoko a�� said the project was going to go a long way in establishing Bulawayo as the true City of Kings.
She said it was a true testimony that the Government and the church could work together to bring wholesome development to the country.
a�?PHD ministries have set a perfect example for all of us. This is a pioneer of development. With the church we can work very positively together to bring development. When we sit in parliament as Members of Parliament, we pass policies; we pass laws to create a conducive environment for anybody and anyone who wants to invest freely. As long as you are Zimbabwean, this is your land and no one can take it away from you,a�? said Minister Kanengoni-Malinga.
PHD will construct 48 000 houses in four cities a�� Bulawayo (5 000), Harare (20 000), Mutare (20 000) and Midlands (3 000). .
