ZIMBABWE international midfielder Kuda Mahachi will now leave for trials with French side Monaco after the World Cup, his club Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed.
They have been reports that the ginger-haired CHAN poster boy, on loan to Bulawayo giants Highlanders, would be flying to Europe for trials anytime soon.
But the latest confirmation by the Absa Premiership champions will come as a relief to Bosso coach Kelvin Kaindu and millions of the team’s fans.
The 20-year-old signed with the PSL champions during the January transfer window and although he is yet to kick a ball for Sundowns, there was no problem in approving his trial.
“The trial has been set for after the World Cup, when the pre-season kicks off.
“Mahachi is a good player and we all know that it shouldn’t take more than a week before they make a decision,” club communications co-ordinator Thulani Thuswa told KickOff.com yesterday.
With Highlanders set to meet old nemesis Dynamos in Harare in two weeks time Mahachi, who promised to leave Bosso in a commanding position on top of the table, will now face the Glamour Boys and probably help end his club’s winless streak against Dynamos.
