WHAT ABOUT MAKE-UP?
To all ya’all haters out there, make-up is part of every girl’s prerogative. It is not a sin for us girls to put on a little something, something to feel pretty. It does not mean that we hate ourselves, it is just the way girls are. From little, we learn about painting our nails, putting pretty things in our hair, putting colour on our eyes and lips, it is passed down from our mothers, cousins, aunts and grandmothers etc.
From as far back as the female race goes we have used colour to add a touch of beauty to our already beautiful beings.
Our grandparents used charcoal, and white stone to decorate their faces and hands etc. What is the problem with people in Africa these days? They blame the western world for everything, as if we Africans are not capable of doing anything progressive! I say yes to make-up!

YOUTHS CANNOT SPELL
Hie sister Anni, thanks for the great column for youths, it is like so long outstanding, I wish more youth would write in here, not just the same people.
As for me I am concerned about the spellings etc. in 95 percent of the submissions. If this is the way youth are now writing, I am not surprised they are all failing to express themselves properly in school, hence the high English failure rate. What is more surprising is the high Shona failure rate. Chats are really spoiling our youth.
This is why so many youth do not get certain jobs when they eventually graduate, because they cannot communicate. It’s up to each person to determine how they want their future to turn out, and it starts here.
I thank God for my parents who do not allow me to speak of write slang or chat shorthand in any form. I pray there are other parents out there who will make a stand for their kids.

I HAD A DREAM!
After super I get into bed. I try to sleep but in surprise nature calls itself, it takes a short relax and get dreaming, I see a half naked woman with a flat trees with golden leaves, monkeys submerged in bush forests with postures like Shakespeare about to attack in good speech.
I feel powerful hegemony over the riches I feel flying so high in a sudden yawn the dream is lost like a summer dust, I feel mortified and full of anguish, it is only a dream.
