A JILTED Harare man has been causing drama at his former wife’s workplace.
The ex-wife claims all this is meant to ensure she loses her job.
Clemence Tauya is said to have started this behaviour after his separation with Abigail Mandiya.
This matter came to light at the Harare Civil Court, before magistrate Sharon Mashavire, where Abigail applied for a protection order against Clemence.
“We agreed to send our children to learn in the rural areas because he couldn’t afford urban schools.
“Suddenly, he had a change of mind saying he wanted his children back. He has been assaulting, and insulting me, accusing me of being a prostitute.
“I left him because I couldn’t take the abuse anymore,” she said.
In his defence, Clemence said:
“She is the one who wronged me after sending my children to the rural areas without my acknowledgement.
“She started to be violent and her character changed, one day after work l realised that she took all her belongings and left me.
“The only time I went to her workplace was when I wanted her to come with me so that we could go and take birth certificates for our children.
“I never assaulted her.”
Magistrate Sharon Mashavire granted the protection order in Abigail’s favour.
