A man from Bulawayoa��s Mpopoma suburb has declared war against his mother because he does not want her to get married again.
Tafara Mukuchu (20) has become his mother Viola Mukuchua��s enemy as he insults her daily for having a child after his fathera��s death.
Mukuchu is now chasing his mother out of the house and demands bank cards so he could get his fathera��s pension money.
The woman became a widow in 2001 and had a child last year with another man. This didna��t go down well with her son.
Thereafter, the mother and son relationship went sour and the woman was left with no choice, but to seek help from the courts.
a�?My son chases me out of the house and insults me daily. He wants me to give him all his late fathera��s money as he says I should not have had any child after his fathera��s death,a�? said the woman.
She stated that she needed a protection order against her son so she could have peace in her life.
When Mukuchu was given a chance to respond to the accusations, he denied demanding his fathera��s money saying he was just against his mothera��s love affair with a younger man.
a�?My mother is forcing me to accept and love her boyfriend who is 20 something. Worse, she even gave her boyfriends some clothes,a�? he said.
Western Commonage magistrate Tancy Dube granted the protection order and instructed Mukuchu to respect his mother citing that if his father was widowed, there were chances he could have also married another woman.
