A HARARE man has been accused of neglecting his family while pampering his girlfriend with gifts.
Patrick Sasvikiro has also been accused of evicting his wife, Alleta Saunyama, and children, to accommodate the new lover.
Alleta has since approached the Harare Civil Court seeking for a protection order against Patrick.
The case was heard by magistrate Sharon Mashavire.
“My husband is physically, and verbally, abusing me, he is also evicting me from our matrimonial home because he wants to remarry.
“He locks us from outside and disappears for the whole day in a bid to frustrate me and children.
“He has neglected all his responsibilities, like sending his children to school, and feeding them,” said Alleta.
Patrick did not oppose the granting of the application.
Magistrate Mashavire granted the application in Alleta’s favour.
Patrick was ordered to maintain peace and never to evict the applicant from their matrimonial home.
