A LUST-DRIVEN Bulawayo man, who paid for a quickie but refused to stop when time was up, got the shock of his life when he was violently kicked out mid-action and beaten for demanding a refund.
Alton Shumba (51), who had hired Letwin Dube (39) for a short sex session, found himself at the receiving end of fists and a walking stick after trying to get more pleasure than he paid for.
The steamy saga played out just after 5AM on 11 April near First Avenue and Fort Street in Bulawayo.
Shumba, a known regular in the area, approached Dube, paid her for a quick session and they headed to her rented apartment. But when the agreed time elapsed, Dube told him to stop or pay extra if he wanted to continue.
Instead of pulling out his wallet, Shumba demanded a refund, sparking a chaotic fallout.
He pulled out and told Dube he was leaving, without paying.
He had not reckoned on what appeared to be paid muscle that kept Dube’s rowdy clients in check.
“As he tried to leave, Emmanuel Ncube (30) stormed in and slapped him. Dube joined in and fists smashed into the hapless Shumba, together with thunderous slaps and a walking stick,” said a source close to the case.
Bleeding and humiliated, Shumba staggered to Bulawayo Central Police Station and reported the attack.
Police moved in and arrested the duo, who were later dragged before Bulawayo magistrate Maxwell Ncube, on assault charges.
At the end of the trial, Dube and Ncube were each fined US$200 or face four months in jail if they fail to pay.
“The court does not condone violence, no matter the disagreement,” said Magistrate Ncube. “Two people beating up one man shows elements of gang assault. The victim sustained injuries to the head and shoulder.”
Dube pleaded for mercy, saying she is a first-time offender, a mother of three and currently breastfeeding a one-year-old.
Ncube also apologised, claiming he was drunk at the time and didn’t mean to cause harm.
“I’m really sorry. I had been drinking and lost control,” he said.
Shumba’s attempt to turn a paid quickie into an extended pleasure ride ended in pain, police forms and public embarrassment.
