Manica Diamonds appoints new management team

THE Evans Kamombo bankrolled flagship football outfit for Manicaland Province – Manica Diamonds – have announced the appointment of Tinashe Chipunza as their new chairman.
Manica Diamonds spokesperson, Tapiwa Mbidzo, announced the seemingly resurgent Castle Lager Premiership outfit’s strategic restructuring of their board and executive management in which former chairman, Masimba Chihowa is now deputising the new chairman.
Reads the communique signed by Mbidzo: “Manica Diamonds Football Club is pleased to announce a formal restructuring of its leadership hierarchy, encompassing both the Board of Directors and the Executive Management team. These strategic changes, effective immediately, are designed to strengthen the club’s governance framework, enhance operational efficiency, and drive commercial growth in alignment with professional football administration standards.

“The club has streamlined its governance and management tiers to ensure a robust foundation for future success. The updated structure is as follows: Board of Directors / Governance: Club president: Evans Kamombo, Tawanda Mbidzo (vice president- commercial and marketing), Chipo Kamombo, Tinashe Kamombo and Caleb Gurura (board members).
“Executive/management team: Tinashe Chipunza (club chairman, Masimba Chihowa (vice-chairman), Fungai Mukwinya (treasurer) and Nyasha Kadenge (chief executive officer).
“This restructuring process reflects the club’s proactive approach to meet the evolving demands of the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League. By reinforcing our governance and commercial leadership, Manica Diamonds FC remains committed to achieving excellence, both on and off the pitch, while ensuring full compliance with modern sporting. regulations.
“The Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League has been formally notified of these changes to ensure that all administrative records are updated accordingly.”
