FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza says he is expects a tough duel against Hwange at the Colliery in their battle for a Top Four spot and a place in the Mbada Diamonds Cup.

The two miners clash tomorrow.

“I am expecting a very tough encounter against Hwange,” said Mapeza.

“We need to come up with positive results since Highlanders, Chicken Inn and Hwange are also fighting to finish in the top four.

“I have gathered that Hwange has not beaten FC Platinum at the Colliery, but I am not relying on past results.

“It could be that Hwange were not at their best during those years.

“They will be fighting for a top four finish, which will make the game tough and interesting as well.”

FC Platinum have been having a good run.

One of their stars has been 21-year-old midfielder TatendaDzumbunu who is likely to make a name for himself next season if he maintains a cool head.

Wisdom Mutasa, who has done so well at Platinum and the national team, is another player who could have turned the tables as he combines well with Dzumbunu and Walter Musona, but will miss the match as he has been suspended by the PSL after accumulating three yellow cards.

Hwange will be missing the services of veteran Gilbert Zulu, Takabva Mawaya and Munyaradzi Mangadze who are also suspended.

But Rodwell Chinyengetere is back to his best and that should give the hosts hope.
