FABIOLA Zoe Zengeya, the eight-year-old who will represent Zimbabwe at the Miss Phenomenal Africa competition, wants to take on cyber bullies.
She will represent Zimbabwe at the upcoming Miss Phenomenal International pageant in Mauritius from December 17 to 21.
Fabiola believes that even the smallest voices can create a substantial impact.
After personally experiencing the sting of bullying, she has vowed to take a stand.
“Bullying is not okay,” she says passionately. “We should always be kind to one another.”
Through her unwavering enthusiasm, Fabiola aims to inspire others to join her cause and she’s already making significant strides in advocating against bullying.
Utilising social media and local events, Fabiola shares her empowering message:
“Be kind, be brave and speak up.”
In an interview, Fabiola’s mother, Shee Zengeya, 34, expressed her pride in her daughter’s achievements.
“Fabiola is my only child,” she said, her voice filled with admiration.
“Witnessing her compete in continental events, against other African countries, has been incredible and I love the confidence she is building.
“In five years, I envision her realising her goals, exploring her passions, and becoming a strong voice for other children who have been bullied, advocating for their rights.
“She has a bright future ahead.”
Last December, Fabiola represented Zimbabwe in the Miss Phenomenal Africa competition, facing off against 16 other girls.
Advocating for individuals with disabilities, and those living with albinism, she earned three titles: Little Miss Phenomenal 1st Runner-Up, Best Personality, and People’s Choice.
The competition took place at the prestigious Pretoria State Theatre in South Africa.
