A MARANGE woman has approached the courts seeking a protection order against her son whom she described as evil.
Rosemary Mutitwa told Mrs Yeukai Chigodora that her son, Rogers Mutitwa, was trying to evict her from her late husband’s house.
“Rogers once assaulted me Your Worship when he tried to evict me from my house and I refused to leave and as a result I had a swollen cheek.
“He was stopped from beating me by his younger brothers. He claims that as the first born the house belongs to him and I am a foreigner who should leave.
He took my husband’s death certificate and the burial order and also took some property that was left by my husband. I pray that the protection order be granted so that he does not disturb my peace,” said Rosemary.
However, Rogers denied ever wanting to evict her mother: “I deny the allegations that my mother is levelling against me.
“I never tried to evict her and I never beat her as she is alleging. I agree that I took my father’s death certificate, but that was because I wanted to get a national identification card since I did not have one.
“I can give her back the death certificate,” said Rogers.
Mrs Chigodora granted the protection order and ordered Rogers to hand back the death certificate which he took from his mother.
