Bruce Chikuni recently in BULAWAYO
CHIDO Chikosi, the mother of Ngedwa “Mr Ronaldo” Mpako, says she is arguably the happiest mother in Zimbabwe if not in the world.
In her entire life, she had never boarded a plane, slept in a hotel and had never been to Bulawayo.
All this changed over the weekend when the Marvelous Nakamba Foundation honoured Mr Ronaldo’s family.
The boy’s family flew to the City of Kings and they were special guests for the just-ended Nakamba youth tournament.
Mr Ronaldo is the last born in a family of four.
The first child in their family is 19.
Chikosi revealed to H-Metro that her son was making their dreams come true.
“When I first heard that we were invited to attend the tournament, I was very delighted because my son is always fascinated with anything that involves Nakamba.
“I couldn’t believe it when I was told that our flight had been already booked, to be honest, I almost cried as I was not believing the whole drama.
“In my whole life, I had never been to Bulawayo, I had never been anywhere near a hotel, I had never imagined myself catching a flight.
“But my last child has made me proud,” said Chikosi.
She also revealed how she wishes to see her son being just like Nakamba one day.
“I’m now a believer of dreams, my biggest dream now is to see this boy reaching the levels of his icon, Nakamba,” she said.
“I can only attribute everything which is going on to God, our life is a miracle and there’s no denying that.
“Ngedwa is getting support from his family and friends and everyone else, I would like to extend my gratitude to the Nakamba family for everything.”
