A Harare-based organization, Muscle and Sport Nutritional Supplements, is living true to the Government’s philosophy of leaving no one and no place behind after it recently hosted a successful campaign in Victoria Falls to raise awareness about the effects of drug abuse and cancer.

The campaign was the fourth event they had hosted this year, with previous campaigns held in Harare, Bulawayo, and Mutare.

In an interview with B-Metro, the founder of the organization, Lycan White, said the event was successfully held on 30 November in partnership with ChildLine, the Zimbabwe National Boxing and Wrestling Control Board (ZNBWCB), Haefelis, Fine and Country, Pick n Pay, and Rest Camp Victoria Falls, among others.

He said attendees were entertained by boxing matches and participated in fitness activities like Zumba, stretching, and karate, among others.

“Through these events, we want to raise awareness about drug abuse and the importance of early cancer detection through a series of fitness activities and workshops. We are also living up to the Government’s philosophy of leaving no one and no place behind, which is why we took this edition to Victoria-Falls,” said White.

White also said that the campaign aimed not only to raise awareness but also to show support to families impacted by drug abuse and cancer.

He said they wanted to demonstrate that these families are not alone and provide guidance on how to address their issues.
“By organising such events, we aim to create a supportive community and empower individuals to overcome the challenges associated with drug abuse and cancer,” said White.
