A Bulawayo man pulled a shocker in court when he claimed that his visually impaired wife was cheating on him with other men who allegedly were sending her love messages on her mobile phone.

Sunboy Dzivakwe from EmganwiniA� suburb was responding to his wife Clara Chingodoraa��s remarks that he was constantly abusing her while accusing her of infidelity, sayingA� it was all her fault because she was seeing other men.

Dzivakwe appeared before the Bulawayo Civil Court, where his wife filed for a restraining order against him.

a�?I am customarily married to Sunboy Dzivakwe and hea��s always physically abusing me. He constantly assaults me with fists on the face taking advantage of the fact that I am visually impaired.

a�?When assaulting he would be accusing me of infidelity saying I am receiving love messages from other men. It surprises me how can I receive love messages on the phone which I am notA� able to read since I am visually impaired,a�? said Chingodora.

Chingodora further said her husband as a way of a�?fixinga�? her for those unfounded adultery allegations was denying her food.

In response, Dzivakwe said his wifea��s unfaithfulness was the source of their marital problems.

a�?The misunderstanding started after I discovered that there were some men who were proposing love to her. This was after I had seen some love messages in her phone which had been sent to her by those men.

a�?As if that is not enough she is always receiving calls from those men and from their conversations it will be clear that they are seeing each other,a�? he said.

After hearing the testimony from both sides, presiding magistrate Manasa Musiiwa decided to grant the woman an order of protection which compels her husband not to physically abuse her or threaten her in any way.
