In a significant move to bridge the digital divide in Zimbabwe, Aura Group has launched its reseller partnership with Starlink.

This will enable Aura to offer Starlink’s satellite internet connectivity to its customers, providing them with reliable and affordable internet access.

The partnership is expected to expand internet access and have a positive impact on various sectors, including education, healthcare, agriculture and business, even in underserved areas.

Information, Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Minister Tatenda Mavetera said the coming on board of Starlink was a positive step towards inclusive growth.

“The introduction of low-end-orbit satellite technology such as that which is being deployed by Stalink represents a transformative opportunity for Zimbabwe’s underserved and marginalised communities,” she said.

“In areas that were previously hindered by inadequate connectivity, we are gathered here today to witness the first launch of a properly licensed reseller partnership in the low-end-orbit satellite technology zone in Zimbabwe.”
