FAST-FOOD restaurants operator Simbisa Brands Limited has partnered a local non-governmental organisation, KidzCan, to support treatment and care of children with cancer.

KidzCan is dedicated to increasing the survival rate of children suffering from the disease.

Speaking during the unveiling of the partnership on Wednesday, Simbisa’s marketing manager Mrs Fortunate Mashongandebvu said the partnership will also benefit children with blood-related disorders.

“We are mounting our commercial support to fight cancer among children,” she said.

“We are saying for every dessert sale at Buffalo Creek Spur, we will be giving away US$0,50 to KidzCan. A better chance of the children’s survival is achievable through your support.”

KidzCan director Mr Daniel Mackenzie expressed gratitude towards Simbisa.

“Through this partnership with Simbisa, we can surely go a long way and raise awareness and ensure that children can survive cancer in Zimbabwe.

“As KidzCan it is our mission to increase the survival rate of children suffering from cancer and ensure they are in a loving and caring environment.”
