This could be part of Highlanders Football Clubas remix of the Nathi Mankayi hit song uNomvula Wami amid revelations the South African singer recently donated 20 soccer balls to the Bulawayo football giants.
a?As the club celebrates 90 years of existence, we got a humbling gesture from Nathi during the Trade Fair period. We wish him well in his music career and the entire Highlanders family is singing uNomvula Wami,a? said Bosso chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede who took time to sing the uNomvula Wami lyrics with dexterity.
The balls were received on behalf of the Bulawayo football giants by the clubas team manager Vezigama Dlodlo at a function that was held at Horizon Pub and Grill in the city.
a?We have since passed some of the balls to our womenas soccer team Highlanders Royals which is still in its formative stage. The girls train on a regular basis,a? said the veteran football administrator.
Highlanders Royals were encouraged to constitute themselves into an entity to deal with their administration issues.
The team has been defunct for several years.
Over a month ago they received a full kit that was later worn by the Under 18 mensa side at the Emakhandeni Legends Cup contest.
The Samukeliso Ndlovu-coached team was revived in 2014 after it disbanded in 2005.
