Ozil eye United move

LONDON. — Arsenal contract rebel Mezut Ozil is hoping for a shock move to Manchester United.

It would mean the 28-year-old Gunners midfielder linking up again with Jose Mourinho, his manager during their time together at Real Madrid.

The German international has decided to run his contract down which means he will be a free agent next summer. Emirates team-mate Alexis Sanchez who is in an identical contract situation has also been linked with a switch to Old Trafford but the Chilean star is more likely to end up at neighbours Manchester City possibly in the January transfer window.

But Mirror Sport can reveal that Ozils advisors have put out feelers over a potential move to Manchester United and the feedback has been encouraging. Mourinho is a big fan of the talented playmaker and would encourage the Old Trafford hierarchy to make a move for a player who wont cost a fee. — The Mirror.
