UKHOZI FMa��s former motivational speaker, Pastor Lungisani Mafu (30), has apologised for raping and murdering a woman in 1999.
The pastor (ABOVE) and four others were convicted and charged with the rape and murder of Chantal Pienaar.
Chantal was 20 years old when she bled to death after being raped and stabbed between railway lines near Fynnlands in Durban.
Mafu was sentenced to 15 years in prison but was released on parole in 2010.
On Friday, he opened up about the incident while filming a motivational DVD at Ethekwini Community Church in Durban.
a�?I killed an innocent young woman in cold blood.
a�?I was dead drunk and I have little recollection of what happened that day.
a�?When I woke up in the morning my clothes were still soaked in blood.
a�?I went into hiding but the cops eventually nabbed me,a�? Mafu told the audience.
a�?I used to do drugs and carried an okapi knife.
a�?All this happened because my parents died when I was very young,a�? he said.
Mafu said he had always wanted to apologise to the victima��s family, but couldna��t trace them.
a�?I am publicly apologising to the family and all those people that Ia��ve wronged.
a�?Wherever they are, they must know Ia��m very sorry for my actions,a�? he said.
Mafu was previously in the spotlight when he was accused of impregnating a young woman from his church.
