MEMBERS of the House of Power Apostolic Ministries Church led by the maverick Pastor Tinashe Murigo are today (Friday) set to officially launch their maiden album, Zvinofadza Sei.The launch ceremony that will feature local gospel heavyweights, Blessing Shumba, Agatha Murudzwa, Trymore Bande, Hick Gwarimba and Harare-based wheel spinner, DJ Wally Walters, will be held at popular entertainment hub Pick and Save Supperrette.
The event starts at 6pm.
Pick and Save proprietor and promoter, Isau Mupfumi, is expected to be the guest of honor.
Murigo said the album carries eight tracks which include Ari Mandiri Mukuru, Hezvo, Masuwo Edenga, Anorapa Moyo, Shamwari Yemoyo and Jesu Haashanduke.
“I started composing and singing in church more than ten years ago but I have decided to go professional and put some of my compositions together. Music is my life and I wish to inspire people through it. I believe I am talented,” said the 28-year-old Masvingo-born musician.
He draws his inspiration from gospel musicians controversial Pastor Haisa, Agatha Murudzwa and Donna Chibaya.
He described his music as a fusion of Traditional, Afro jazz and reggae.
“I urge people to come in numbers and support our new project. On Friday we will belt all songs on the album in full,” he added.
Other members of the group are Talent Ziyambi and Takudzwa on backing vocals, Benjamin on drums, Sam and Themba on keyboards, Noah and Moses on bass and lead guitars respectively.
