of ministers from his party was imminent.
Mr Tsvangirai, who was addressing party supporters at Mbizo Stadium in Kwekwe on Sunday, mentioned the names of Minister of Water Resources Management, Mr Samuel Sipepa Nkomo and Health and Child Welfare Minister, Dr Henry Madzorera.
He said a lot needed to be done within the two ministries headed by Nkomo and Madzorera.
“All ministers should work hard and make sure that they steer development in their respective ministries,” said Mr Tsvangirai.
He said he would not hesitate to fire the under-performing ministers and urged Minister Nkomo and Dr Madzorera to improve on service delivery in the water and health sectors.

“I have told my ministers that I will not hesitate to fire those who are failing to deliver.
“I have been in the Midlands and discovered that most towns that include Kwekwe, Redcliff and Gokwe are struggling to access clean water.
“In Gokwe, there are no health facilities with some hospitals that were built many years ago now white elephants.
“Minister Nkomo and Dr Madzorera should address the problems affecting their ministries.
“If they fail, I have already told them that I will not hesitate to show them the exit door,” he said.
Mr Tsvangirai blamed most of his ministers for failing to take their time to visit people, especially in rural areas, to familiarise themselves with the problems people were facing.
“It is rare for ministers to take their time to be on the ground to familiarise themselves with the problems faced by villagers.
“It is my duty as the ministers’ supervisor to monitor how they are working and I have decided to reach all the areas where these ministers shun.
“This is how ministers should be judged,” he said.
Mr Tsvangirai said the water situation in most cities needed to be addressed while he bemoaned the problem of the water and the sewer reticulation system in Gokwe.
“While Minister Nkomo is supposed to make sure that all cities which are struggling to have safe and adequate water get the services, I think there is an urgent need to address the water problems facing Gokwe town if we are to contain the possibility of a cholera outbreak which once gripped this country,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mr Tsvangirai who toured the two Gokwe districts on Friday and Saturday last week bemoaned lack of development in the area.
Mr Tsvangirai said owing to lack of development and few employment opportunities in the two districts, child abuse and teenage marriages were rampant.
“As Government we need to move in and address issues of under-development in such areas as Gokwe.
“Most teenagers who are into cotton farming have quickly turned into young fathers and teenage mothers with most girls getting married at the age of 16,” he said.
